Can you belief Cameroon is 17th world best national team according to FIFA’s 2008 ranking and Egypt with the excellent squad is 30th. Interestingly, Ghana is 15th.

What formula does FIFA use to do this grading because from the performance of all these teams in 2008 African Nations Cup, Egypt is to be the best and then Ivory Coast then may be Cameroon then Ghana. What formula does FIFA use?

He who said there is no maths in soccer is not of planet earth. Let me gist U (Jozef) a lil about the ranking formula: The final ranking points figure is multiplied by 100 and rounded to the nearest whole number. Ranking\ points\ =\ 100(Result\ points\ \times\ Match\ status\ \times\ Opposition\ strength\ \times\ Regional\ strength\ \times\ Date Multiplier). And all the input values of the formula have their own formulae too. Want to know more??
