Biography:

Job was born in the French city of Lyon, there he enjoyed a bright start to his footballing career and began training with the famous Olympique Lyonnais club at the age of ten. In his first season there, he scored a remarkable 13 goals in 14 games.

Job joined RC Lens in France in 1999 and made several notable performances for Lens. He scored a number of goals for Lens in the 1999/2000 season UEFA Cup. This impressed Middlesbrough former manager Bryan Robson and he joined Middlesbrough in the summer of 2000 for £3million.
Middlesbrough

Job scored 19 goals in 94 total appearances for Middlesbrough. His highlight at Middlesbrough occurred when he scored a second minute goal to help them on their way to their first ever trophy, in a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in the 2004 League Cup Final. Job consistently struggled to hold down a first-team spot at Middlesbrough, thus he was loaned-out twice, once at FC Metz (2002) and later at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad (2005/06) and was frequently rumoured to be transferred away from Teesside. Job’s struggle to win a first-team place became even more difficult following the signings of established Premiership strikers Mark Viduka, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Yakubu.
